On Tuesday 24th February, four days after my birthday, I delivered the first ever Quantumology talk to around 50 people at the Swindon Central Library. The atmosphere was fun, everyone seemed to enjoy the hour's show and there was a queue for book signing - all in all a great start to Quantumology's next leg of the journey.
As many people know, I don't take all the credit for Quantumology. One of the main reasons - in fact fair to say at the very beginning, the only reason - for my interest sparking in quantum mechanics was due to the influence of entities from other dimensions. Yes, if you want to put it that way, I ‘heard voices', and yes, if you think like my doctor did, I might just have been subject to an attack of schizophrenia. But if you have memories of that time as I do, you'd have deduced, as I did, that there was immense value in the lessons, not least in the learning how to commune with whom one wishes instead of all who clamour for attention, and more still in the importance of realising that wherever the information comes from in life, it's definitely worth sifting carefully. Above all, I learned to regain my feet when I'd been seriously swept off them. I'm guessing most people who describe their influences as some kind of 'channeling' would have gone through a similar kind of process.

The talk was an opportunity to put the basic science and psychology of these laborious lessons into a fast-paced, interesting format that wouldn't bore people's pants off and would allow for Quantumology's purpose to be furthered - the book was intended for anyone who's interested, remotely, in the idea of quantum mechanics influencing and sometimes even being responsible for what goes on in our lives to begin their own journey of exploration in their own way, taking on board whatever resonates as discoveries continue to be gathered. We're all unique so what resonates most powerfully is going to be different for all of us. For me, it's the uncertainty principle and tangled hierarchy which I most often need to remind myself of. Understanding the Present moment in time to be the only one in which we actually exist is also soberingly useful. There's a link to a sample of the talk in the Atom siting up there above this paragraph.
I'd like to thank everyone who went along for turning out on a cold winter evening, and for making the event such fun with your spirited involvement. I hope everyone who won Quantum toothpaste with their contributions will enjoy the strange synchronicity of brushing their teeth with a product named after the scientific subject matter, and that all those present had a good time in piecing together some very odd, yet startlingly straightforward, quantum concepts which directly affect our lives. I hope to see you all again some day xx
