The Chase - it really happened to me.

2004 - qualified as a Life Coach after four years' study and completed a programme delivery to Corus Steel that resulted in record-breaking achievements by participating teams. Then my life changed again - a period of down-time left me bereft of all the dreams I thought would come from the incredible success of the Corus programme.
So I fell into depression, and if you've been depressed, you'll know how hard it is to get out of that state of mind. Qualifications don't help with the navigation of life. Then after a few years it came upon me that I had to write the book.

In 2014, Quantumology was published, and I delivered a copy to one whose door I'd knocked on every decade or so since the 1980s - to my surprise there was no wife to keep me from the offered coffee and that portal, the one I didn't know was there, one that would lead me into his workshop to watch The Chase (a reel he'd carefully edited in advance so that I would get to see all the Chasers). I came to love The Chase enough to apply for a place on the show. Although I got through the audition in July 2017 I'd given up on making it to the studio when they called me in with a week's notice.
This was it - I was going to Elstree.

2018. September 19th; Elstree, London.
Kissing Bradley was something I had to do. I couldn't have lived with myself if I walked away and hadn't kissed him. Winning money wasn't even on the agenda... but it happened anyway!
To top it all, on The Chase Bloopers Brad introduced me as "one of our contestants who not only won some cash, but also left with a restraining order!"

2019. May 1st - the show is aired. One of the respondents on Twitter said I looked like Taylor Swift. I've loved Taylor since Blank Space hit the charts, so for me this was another cherry on the chequered trail to Elstree Studios and beyond, to where I sit now sharing this with you, but the show is over.... the day all dreams came true.....
