There's a paradox in thought process at present between staunchly orthodox puritans on one hand and bluesky radicals on the other. Armed with anecdotes and thimblefuls of theories, each defends a corner, but questions remain as to why they should be warring in the first place; we could equally ask why science and religion steadfastly claim separate territories when the evidence they are waving in proving what is 'right' is the same evidence for both sides!
